Kenji Husen - Japan
Despite widespread religious freedom, the Japanese remain one of the least reached people groups in the world with a rate of evangelical Christianity at 0.30% of the population and declining. After decades, even centuries, of traditional missions activity in Japan, it is evident that there is need for additional, non-traditional approaches of engaging Japanese people where they are open to relationship and meaningful spiritual discussions. Kenji lives in the mountainous Yamanashi Prefecture of Japan where he supports a small but vibrant church in its discipleship and outreach efforts while also spearheading outreach to the spiritually sensitive outdoor adventures sports community.
