Women's Summer Study

Times Vary

This summer we will be reading, “Now and Not Yet: pressing in when you’re waiting, wanting, and restless for more.” by Ruth Chou Simons.

This book pairs perfectly with our Women’s Ministry Word of the Year: SOJOURNER. Life as a sojourner can be difficult! Each day brings new circumstances. Sometimes they align with our expectations...often they do not. We will experience disappointment, restlessness, chaos, and seasons we don’t understand. As Christ followers, we are called to intentional living. “We can press into all the not yets of our daily lives instead of just surviving our circumstances until they align with our expectations.”

Simons shares how to embrace the biblical truth that "someday" is made of a thousand "right nows." Discover five ways to flip the script on a hard season, use guided liturgies to stop feeling trapped, and live faithfully in the tension between now and not yet. 224 pages, hardcover from Nelson.

DEADLINE to REGISTER: Sunday, MAY 26th at 1pm.

STUDY OPTIONS: There are a couple ways to participate.

1. Join an in-person group. Several small group options are available with a variety of days, times, and locations. If you can’t make all the meetings, no worries! Come when you can. Groups will meet a total of 3 times during the months of June – August. NO CHILDCARE will be provided.

2. Purchase the book and read on your own. Group meetings may not work for everyone. There is still a benefit to reading what the other Headwaters women are reading this summer! Sign-up and purchase your book through the church in order to enjoy a discounted price!
