Men's Bible Study
What does it mean to be a man in the 21st century?
God’s plan for raising up godly men – Titus 2
We are facing a masculinity crisis today! It’s become almost impossible to answer the question, “What does it mean to be a man in the 21st century?” When we look to popular culture, there’s no clear answer. And even as Christians, what we believe biblical masculinity looks like quite honesty may be somewhat different than the teachings of Scripture!
It’s our desire to discover what God says defines true masculinity through 6-weeks of Bible study and small group discussion. When we read Titus, a burden begins to surface in the apostle Paul’s writing: There is an obvious need to raise up godly male leaders if our goal is creating strong churches, families and communities
Titus 2 will challenge us to compare our lives against a list of healthy spiritual traits targeted at men of all ages. These include thinking rightly, influencing others, practicing self-control, and demonstrating dignity, trust, love and perseverance. It’s a daunting task but we aren’t called to do it alone. In Titus 2, the entire chapter is given in the context of developing discipleship relationships with other men.
